Our MissionOur mission is to ensure that patients receive high-level, comprehensive care in support of their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. As a not-for-profit, community-based hospital with local governance, Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) seeks to provide access for all, and will offer quality care appropriate to the needs of the community, within the constraints of available resources. We are committed to providing emergency care to all truly in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
In addition to traditional hospital-based services, BCH supports the health of the community by providing financial support to local nonprofit organizations involved with helping at-risk individuals and seeking to improve community wellness. Organizations we support include: People’s Clinic, Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center, Boulder County Dental Aid, Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, Special Transit, Hospice Care of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, and Grillo Health Information Center.
Our Values, Our CommitmentWhile enhancing the health of the community, BCH is committed to supporting our community’s values. We have committed to reducing our environmental impact by building the first green Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified hospital in the world and the first solar-powered hospital in Colorado — Boulder Community Foothills Hospital Campus.
Also, our laboratory is undergoing LEAN Process Excellence, a systematic approach to quality improvement championed by Toyota and based on Six Sigma Thinking and Design Excellence. Our goal is to reduce errors, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
